We acted as Project and Development Managers for the PFI redevelopment of headquarters building in Whitehall, refurbishing/restructuring of Grade II Listed building, including new ETFE covered lightwells and garden.

The project involved moving this pivotal Government department from cellular space into open plan accommodation. Our role was to lead the project, including the management of the cultural change within the organisation.

The construction contract value was £120m including fees, followed by 35-year concession to run the building. In 2003 it won the "Best Design Project" in the PFI Awards; was the National, London and Refurbished Workplace Winner in the BCO Awards; and was highly commended and listed for the Prime Minister's Award in the BCI Awards.
