Prior to the project, all planned and reactive maintenance and minor works to bridges, structures, deep tube tunnels, embankments/cuttings and track drainage was being delivered through two uncompetitive framework contracts.

We provided end to end project management of the procurement process, advising on compliance with EU procurement regulations, managing the pre-qualification process, developing all procurement documentation and managing the tender and evaluation and negotiation strategies. The project resulted in the appointment of a fixed price services performance driven contract providing circa 50% savings with a year one contract value of £9m. In addition, a framework was procured for the works projects with an estimated 15% savings.
