Middlewood Locks
The Middlewood Locks site has lain undeveloped and unused for many years. The site has been acquired by Fairbriar International, part of Scarborough Group International who are looking to return the site to vibrant use and create a whole new Mixed-Use Neighbourhood on the border of Salford and Manchester.
The new £1bn scheme, which is centred around three basins of the Manchester, Bolton and Bury canals, will provide over 2,000 new homes, 750,000 sq ft of Grade A office space together with hotel, retail and leisure opportunities. It is set to become one of Greater Manchester's premier gateway locations at the heart of the regeneration of Salford.
Beijing Construction and Engineering Group (BCEGI), the Chinese construction and engineering firm, was selected as Fairbriar Developments' preferred contractor for the development and enabling works are now underway.
