Soho Place

The Soho Place scheme consists of two buildings - No1 and No2 Soho Place, separated by new high-quality public realm.

No1 Soho Place marries the retail tradition of Oxford Street with a revitalised transport interchange on Charing Cross Road and a new public space on Sutton Row. It comprises the demolition of 17-23 Oxford Street and erection of a building comprising two basement levels and ground plus nine upper floors with a tenth floor terrace offering panoramic views across London. Use is 36,000 sq ft retail (Class A1) on the key Oxford Street elevation at part-basement, ground and first floors with 180,000 sq ft high quality office space (Class B1) above.

No2 Soho Place is a unique nine storey theatre and office building fronting Charing Cross Road, Sutton Row and Goslett Yard. Theatre spaces have been developed in conjunction with theatre operator Nimax, and will form the first purpose-built theatre for in-the-round performance in London and the first new-build theatre in the West End for 50 years. The three floors of office above achieve over 3.5m clear floor-ceiling heights and 16m column-free spans with 270-degree views.

The project has been in development since 2006 working in collaboration with Crossrail under a joint development agreement following the compulsory purchase of the site. The project is currently on site and due for completion in early 2022. The project design team is led by the architect AHMM.
