G&T was appointed by Freshfields to lead the technical negotiations through the site search and selection process together with the Agreement for Lease negotiations, which spanned the Brexit referendum, where we were able to negotiate significant enhancements to the base build specification.
These enhancements allowed Freshfields to offset significant fit-out costs and risk in meeting their requirements for occupational densities, catering services, auditoria space, floor by floor interconnectivity and future occupancy flexibility through the transaction.
G&T subsequently led the team through the design and procurement stages with the space taken from shell and core to maximise Freshfields’ ability to meet their requirements. Once on site, we led the team through the delivery of the space including engineering and adopting a phased fit-out delivery programme to accommodate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The space includes cellular and open plan workspace, break out and collaboration space, significant catering, meeting and auditoria space all connected by 11 interconnecting stairs.
