30 Grosvenor Square
G&T provided Cost Management, Project Management and Employer’s Agent services for the redevelopment of the former US Embassy in Grosvenor Square - a Grade II Listed building - blending its historic character with contemporary design.
Designed by Sir David Chipperfield, the scheme retained the building’s iconic façade and delivered a new hotel, retail and event destination. The development included 144 guest rooms, five restaurants, six flagship retail units, a spa and an 800-person ballroom, along with significant improvements to the surrounding public realm.
Working with seven leading interior designers, the project involved major enabling works, including façade retention, demolition, piling and basement excavation. It incorporated the construction of a new basement box and the integration of both retained and new-build elements. Works also included the installation of mechanical and electrical infrastructure, and the full fit-out of the car park, spa, ballroom, retail spaces, restaurants, hotel rooms and bar.
