Challenge
A leading trading firm sought to establish a new London headquarters that would reflect its dynamic culture and support future growth. The chosen site—a Grade II* Listed building—presented unique challenges, including the need to integrate modern, collaborative workspaces within a historically significant structure. The project required careful navigation of heritage considerations while ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, flexible environment conducive to the firm's operational needs.
Solution
G&T provided Cost Management and Project Management services throughout the project. The initial phase involved the fit-out of 20,000 sq ft on a single level, followed by an expansion to include an additional 13,000 sq ft across two interconnecting floors. We led the professional team through technical due diligence, lease negotiations, and the procurement of consultant and contractor teams. The design carefully balanced the preservation of the building's heritage features with the creation of a modern, collaborative workspace.
Outcome
The completed headquarters successfully marries historical architecture with contemporary design, providing a vibrant, adaptable environment that supports the trading firm's operations and growth. G&T's expertise ensured the project met its objectives, delivering a workspace that respects the building's heritage while aligning with the firm's vision for a high-performance, collaborative future.
