A prominent North American law firm sought to establish a new 80,000 sq ft headquarters in the City of London, aiming to return to the area with state-of-the-art facilities that would support its growth and talent acquisition objectives. The firm required comprehensive technical due diligence to evaluate potential sites and navigate complex lease negotiations, ensuring the selected location would meet both current operational needs and future expansion plans.
Solution
G&T was appointed in 2020 to lead the strategic technical due diligence of the 'Stay vs Go' feasibility project. Collaborating closely with the firm's real estate advisors, we conducted thorough technical assessments of potential sites and supported the team through Heads of Terms and Agreement for Lease negotiations. Following site selection, we provided Cost Management, Project Management, Contract Administration and Principal Designer & CDM Consultancy services for the CAT B design and fit-out, ensuring the new headquarters would be delivered to the highest standards.
