Challenge

Linklaters aimed to refurbish its 18,000 sq ft satellite office in Colchester, aligning it with the design principles established in a recent pilot study at its London headquarters. The objective was to create a functional, contemporary workspace that promoted agile and collaborative working, while incorporating lessons learned from the pilot to enhance efficiency and user experience.

Solution

G&T provided Cost Management and Project Management services throughout the Cat B re-design and refurbishment. Collaborating closely with the client and design team, we ensured that the refined design decisions from the pilot study were effectively implemented, resulting in a cohesive and adaptable workspace that met Linklaters’ operational needs and budgetary requirements.

Outcome

The completed refurbishment delivered a modern, agile working environment that supports collaboration and flexibility. By applying insights from the pilot study, the project achieved a balance between functionality and design, enhancing the workplace experience for Linklaters’ Colchester team. G&T’s management ensured the project was delivered on time and within budget, aligning with the firm’s broader workplace strategy.
