Challenge
Originally constructed between 1915 and 1922 as the headquarters of the Port of London Authority, 10 Trinity Square is a Grade II* Listed building situated adjacent to the Tower of London. Over the years, the building suffered significant damage during the Blitz and underwent unsympathetic alterations, including the loss of its central rotunda. The challenge was to sensitively restore and repurpose this historic structure into a luxury mixed-use development, encompassing a hotel, private residences, and a members' club, while preserving its architectural heritage and meeting modern standards of luxury and functionality.
Solution
G&T provided Cost Management services for the transformation of 10 Trinity Square. Collaborating with international designers such as Bruno Moinard, Martin Kemp, AB Concept, and Joseph Caspari, the project involved the meticulous restoration and extension of the building to create a 100-key Four Seasons hotel, 41 private residences, and an exclusive private members' club. Key features include the reinstatement of the central rotunda, the creation of a deluxe spa, and the introduction of two destination restaurants. Our expertise ensured the seamless integration of modern amenities within the historic fabric of the building, delivering a development that honours its past while embracing contemporary luxury.
Outcome
The revitalised 10 Trinity Square stands as a testament to successful heritage-led redevelopment. The project has restored a significant London landmark, providing a world-class hotel experience and premium residential accommodation. G&T's strategic management and attention to detail were instrumental in delivering a complex project that balances historical preservation with modern luxury, contributing positively to London's architectural and cultural landscape.
