G&T Appointed to Frameworks for Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C

G&T has secured a place on the professional services frameworks supporting the Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C nuclear new build projects.

Our appointment to EDF Energy’s Professional Services Framework for Hinkley Point C will see G&T support EDF’s Nuclear New Build Programme, helping deliver measurable value, programme certainty and commercial performance at scale.

“This appointment reflects the confidence our clients have in our ability to deliver high quality services that make a real difference to project outcomes.”

In parallel, G&T has also been appointed by Sizewell C Company (SZC Co) - now operating as a standalone entity - to support the delivery of the Sizewell C project.

This builds on our experience in combining technical expertise with a practical, delivery focused approach and further strengthens G&T’s role on major infrastructure and nuclear programmes.

Our expertise across nuclear, renewables and transmission enables owners and operators to deliver critical infrastructure with confidence in a rapidly changing market.

Through these frameworks, G&T will provide a full suite of professional services, including Project Management, Programme Management, Cost Consultancy, Commercial and Contract Management, Procurement, Cost Assurance, Project Controls, Planning, Risk Management and Supply Chain Advisory. The appointments also support plans to grow our regional presence, providing more local and responsive support while building long term capability in key infrastructure areas.

G&T Partner and Nuclear Lead, Trevor Springham, said: “Our focus is always on helping clients achieve certainty — whether that’s in cost, schedule or performance. These are some of the most complex and nationally significant programmes in the UK and we’ve built the capability and capacity to support them at scale. Just as importantly, we’re continuing to invest in our regional teams so we can be closer to our clients, more responsive in delivery and play a meaningful role in supporting local skills and growth.”

Hinkley Point C, the first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in a generation, will provide zero carbon electricity to around six million homes. Sizewell C will build on this momentum, delivering long term energy security and supporting the UK’s transition to a low carbon future.

Hinkley Point C is under construction, with Unit 1 targeted for 2030. Sizewell C began preliminary works in 2024 and is expected to be completed by the mid to late 2030s. Both power stations are designed to operate for at least 60 years.
