Challenge
Warner Music Group (WMG) embarked on a global workplace transformation across its offices in the UK, EMEA and APAC regions. The initiative involved multiple relocations and renovations, each managed by different third-party teams. The primary challenge was to ensure consistent project delivery standards, align diverse stakeholders and maintain clear communication across various time zones and cultural contexts.
Solution
G&T provided Portfolio & Programme Management and Programme & Project Controls services, establishing a centralised PMO to oversee the global programme. G&T implemented governance structures, standardised reporting and facilitated regular portfolio updates for WMG’s Global Workplace Experience Team. By hosting cross-time-zone workshops and collaborating with client-nominated designers and technical stakeholders, we ensured alignment of design scopes and adherence to technical standards across all projects.
Outcome
Through G&T’s leadership, WMG achieved a cohesive and efficient global workplace transformation. The PMO’s oversight ensured projects were delivered in line with WMG’s objectives, schedules and budgets, enhancing the company’s global operations. Our approach not only streamlined project execution but also fostered a culture of continuous improvement, with lessons learned feeding back into the PMO process to benefit future initiatives.
