Everton Football Club - The People's Project
Everton Football Club's new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock will have a transformational impact on North Liverpool.
The dockland is part of Peel L&P's £5.5bn Liverpool Waters development and the club's new landmark waterfront stadium with a capacity of 52,888 on the most northern part of the site.
The club has been at Goodison Park since 1892 but its new home on the banks of the River Mersey will comprise four distinctive stands of equal height with a brick base and glass and steel at roof level. Evertonians will be as close to the action as regulations allow and a large steep home stand to the south will house 13,000 Blues on matchdays. A Fan Plaza to the east of the stadium will allow the club to animate the build-up to kick-off and could also be used on non-matchdays as outdoor event, community space or a music venue.
The stadium will offer future flexibility as both the lower tiers in the North and South stands will make it easy to adopt rail seating and, should legislation change in the future, they could also be converted into areas for safe standing.

Goodison Park, Everton's current stadium, will become part of an innovative £100m Legacy Project that aims to build on the £10m already spent on community developments in the area by the football club and its official charity Everton in the Community.
Following extensive engagement with the local community and prior to the start of the second stage public consultation in July 2019, the club released images of what a re-imagined Goodison Park could look like. This included quality and affordable housing, sheltered accommodation, health facilities, education amenities, a youth enterprise zone and green space that will pay tribute to the club's former home. Work on Goodison Park will only commence once the playing side of the club has fully relocated to a new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock.
Everton received unanimous planning approval from Liverpool City Council for its detailed planning application for a new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock and an outline application for a legacy project at Goodison Park.
Both developments, brought forward under The People's Project brand, provide a unique opportunity for North Liverpool and the wider Liverpool City Region. Research conducted by international property consultants CBRE estimates both sites will deliver:
- A £1.3bn boost to the economy
- The potential to create more than 15,000 jobs
- 1.4m new visitors
- £650m of accelerated regeneration of nearby Liverpool Waters and Ten Street developments
- £32m of income for local families
- Annual return of £2.2m in tax receipts
- Business Rates income of £1.7m per year
