Challenge

The Cundy Street Quarter project seeks to transform a dated and insular estate in Belgravia into a vibrant, mixed-use neighbourhood. A key challenge is redeveloping the site to deliver high-quality homes — including affordable housing — and public amenities, all while respecting the area’s heritage and addressing community concerns around scale, design, and inclusivity.

Solution

G&T is currently providing Cost Management and Project Management services for the development. The scheme will deliver over 170 new homes, including 88 affordable units, along with shops, restaurants, a cinema, and publicly accessible open spaces. The design reinstates historic street patterns, enhances green spaces, and introduces new pedestrian routes to foster connectivity and community interaction. Sustainability remains central to the project, which targets high environmental performance through energy-efficient systems and responsible design practices.

Outcome

Once complete, the Cundy Street Quarter is expected to become a cohesive and inclusive neighbourhood that blends contemporary living with its historic surroundings. G&T continues to play a key role in navigating the project through delivery, helping to balance stakeholder interests and ensure the development enhances the urban fabric of Belgravia.
