Challenge

Following the successful completion of Phase 1, the second phase of the Middlewood Locks development aimed to continue the transformation of a former industrial site into a thriving mixed-use community. The challenge was to deliver a substantial number of residential units with associated amenities, ensuring seamless integration with the existing infrastructure and maintaining the project's momentum in a competitive property market.

Solution

G&T provided Cost Management and Project Management services for Phase 2 of the development. This phase comprised the construction of four new residential blocks, offering a mix of apartment types, along with landscaped gardens and public spaces. We coordinated with contractors, designers and stakeholders to ensure the project met quality standards, remained within budget and adhered to the construction timeline.

Outcome

The successful delivery of Middlewood Locks Phase 2 added a significant number of high-quality homes to the Salford area, enhancing the community with improved public spaces and connectivity. G&T's effective management contributed to the project's timely completion, reinforcing the development's reputation as a desirable residential destination and supporting the broader regeneration of the Salford region.
