Remote Data Centre

G&T is supporting the delivery of a successful planning submission and early stage design of a new 14MW data centre on an existing campus.  The client's priority is speed to market, with the project design options encompassing both a new build data centre with phased tenant fit-out and a potential major refurbishment of an existing unit, including the creation of a new data hall within the retained structure.  The team is also exploring site-wide optimisation, including upgrades to the incoming power supply.

Appointed to provide Project Management and Cost Management services during early design stages, G&T worked closely with the client to assemble a specialist consultant team with a strong track record in mission critical projects. We helped shape the project brief, aligned consultant outputs with client objectives, and coordinated key site data to enable early-stage design development.

The feasibility stage was delivered on programme. G&T produced strategic programmes and cost models across several design options, enabling the client to make an informed decision on the preferred way forward. We are now leading the production of the pre-application submission, a critical step in the planning process and overall delivery timeline.
