Challenge
Sushi Samba sought to enhance its dining experience by refurbishing the existing bar and private dining room located on Level 39 of 110 Bishopsgate, London. The project aimed to introduce innovative design elements, including a feature dining room table suspended from the ceiling via a hoist, allowing the private dining room to transform into a bar within minutes. This ambitious design required meticulous planning and coordination to ensure seamless functionality and integration within the existing space.
Solution
G&T was appointed to provide Project Management and Cost Management services for the refurbishment which included overseeing the planning, design, and execution phases, ensuring that the project adhered to budgetary constraints and met the client's vision. Our cost and project management teams carefully managed the tight programme, coordinating with multiple parties to address the unique challenges presented by the suspended dining table feature.
Outcome
The successful refurbishment has elevated Sushi Samba's dining environment, offering enhanced flexibility. The innovative suspended dining table allows for a seamless transition between private dining and bar configurations, enriching the overall guest experience. G&T ensured that the project was delivered on time and within budget, aligning with Sushi Samba's commitment to providing a dynamic and sophisticated dining atmosphere.
