Challenge

The Wolseley, an iconic West End establishment, set out to expand its footprint with a new venue in the City of London—an area known for its fast-paced business environment and high expectations for hospitality. The challenge lay in recreating the distinct character and refined atmosphere of the original while adapting to a different location, audience, and operational setting. Delivering a seamless guest experience within a complex city centre site required careful coordination and attention to both design detail and logistical delivery.

Solution

G&T provided Cost Management, Project Management and Employer’s Agent services to support the delivery of The Wolseley City. Acting as a key liaison between client, consultants, and contractors, we ensured that every element—from budget setting and procurement to programme control—was tightly managed. By aligning the vision with pragmatic delivery, we facilitated a smooth construction process, upheld design integrity, and provided cost certainty throughout the project lifecycle.

Outcome

The Wolseley City has successfully brought the timeless sophistication of its Piccadilly counterpart to a new audience, offering an elegant dining experience tailored to the City’s unique energy. Thanks to G&T’s strategic oversight and rigorous management approach, the project was delivered on time, within budget, and to the exceptional standard the brand is known for—securing its place as a standout hospitality destination in the Square Mile.
