New Epsom & St Helier hospital given green light
As part of the government’s health infrastructure plan to build 40 new hospitals by 2030, a brand new hospital has been given the green light to be built in Sutton, with district health services remaining in modernised buildings at Epsom and St Helier.

The scheme will form part of the government’s £3.7bn commitment to build these new hospitals and intends to consolidate acute services from Epsom and St Helier to be located on the former Sutton hospital site adjacent to the Royal Marsden.
The development of a Specialist Emergency Care Hospital will deliver a new model of care for the people of the surrounding area and will include 500 beds, eight theatres, women’s and children’s services and an emergency department with associated imaging and diagnostics.
G&T is providing Project and Cost Management services on Epsom and St Helier’s new state-of-the-art Specialist Emergency Care Hospital and the associated works to the Epsom and St Helier hospital sites. We are providing a comprehensive service with subconsultants BDP providing architecture, engineering and sustainability, ETL providing health planning, and CBRE providing town planning services.
