Hull's pioneering wood chip acetylation plant

Located on the site of Saltend Chemicals Plant in Hull, Tricoya Ventures UK Ltd.’s new wood chip acetylation plant is set to revolutionise the opportunities presented to the architectural world in terms of MDF panels.

G&T has been appointed to provide Cost Management services on the new plant - the world’s first Tricoya® wood chip acetylation plant.  Scheduled to open in 2019, the factory will provide around 30 permanent jobs.   The plant will manufacture acetylated wood chips, which will then be used to make extremely durable, stable and sustainable Tricoya® MDF panels.  Unlike traditional MDF panels, Tricoya® panels can be used for external construction and wet applications, and come with a 50 year above ground and 25 year in ground guarantee.
