Challenge

Aston Martin’s ambition was to create a state-of-the-art campus for its Formula 1 team, integrating design, R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and testing functions – including a cutting-edge wind tunnel and simulator. Located on a 32-acre site next to Silverstone, the programme involved delivering three major buildings over a fast-tracked four-year schedule, all while maintaining operations at the live site. The scale, technical complexity and pace of delivery required robust commercial management and agile response to change.

Solution

G&T provided comprehensive pre- and post-contract Cost Management services across the development programme. Working collaboratively with stakeholders, we implemented rigorous budget tracking and change control processes across multiple works packages. Our team played a key role in managing and communicating the financial impact of ongoing design evolution, ensuring that contingency allocations were well-informed and commercially sustainable.

Outcome

The new Aston Martin F1 campus now houses world-class facilities that support the full spectrum of the team’s operations. G&T’s proactive commercial leadership helped navigate the programme through a high volume of change without compromising budgetary control or delivery momentum. Our contribution ensured the successful handover of a complex and technically advanced campus that positions Aston Martin at the forefront of Formula 1 innovation.
