Challenge

The Buckingham Green project involved the transformation of a dated 1970s office complex into a vibrant mixed-use development in the heart of Westminster. The challenge was to sensitively redevelop the site, which included a tower and podium structure, to provide high-quality residential, office and retail spaces, while enhancing the public realm and respecting the area's architectural heritage.

Solution

G&T provided Cost Management and Project Management services for the redevelopment. The scheme comprised 64 luxury apartments, 55,000 sq ft of office accommodation and 11,000 sq ft of retail space across three distinct buildings: the refurbished tower, The Caxton and The Gate House. We coordinated with architects Fletcher Priest and other stakeholders to ensure the project's successful delivery, balancing modern design with the conservation of historical elements.

Outcome

The completed Buckingham Green development has revitalised a key area of Westminster, offering a seamless blend of residential, commercial and public spaces. G&T's expertise ensured the project was delivered to the highest standards, contributing to the creation of a dynamic urban quarter that enhances the local environment and meets the needs of its diverse users.
