Dawley Road, Telford is a new Extra Care development which has been granted funding by Homes England. The scheme will provide 70 self-contained extra care apartments - 20 one bedroom and 50 two bedroom.
Communal facilities include 32 car parking spaces, a bistro/dining area which will be open to the public, a lounge, hair salon, motorised scooter store and laundry.
The scheme has been designed to promote a real sense of community. A landscaped garden within a central courtyard will be provided with additional areas of planting surrounding the building. Each ground floor apartment will have a private patio and all apartments on the first and second floor will either have a Juliet or walk-out balcony to encourage interaction between residents and external spaces.
The site is located West of Telford town centre close to the M54, and completion is anticipated for December 2023.
