Challenge
Lennox Point (formerly Tipner West) is one of the most ambitious regeneration schemes on England’s south coast, aiming to transform a former docklands site into a sustainable, mixed-use waterfront community. The vision includes over 3,500 new homes, a 58,000 m² marine employment campus, extensive public realm and new transport infrastructure. The project must meet complex demands—achieving net-zero carbon standards, fostering local economic growth, and creating a resilient, people-centred neighbourhood—while navigating planning sensitivities, environmental constraints and multi-agency coordination.
Solution
G&T is providing Procurement and Supply Chain Management services to support the ongoing delivery of Lennox Point. We are working closely with Portsmouth City Council and project stakeholders to shape procurement strategies that reflect the scheme’s ambitious net-zero and social value objectives. This includes developing frameworks that promote sustainable construction methods, local employment and the responsible sourcing of materials. By embedding flexibility and transparency into procurement processes, we are helping to lay the foundations for a long-term, low-carbon community that aligns with both economic and environmental goals.
Outcome
Thanks to G&T’s procurement and supply‑chain leadership, Lennox Point is on course to become the south coast’s first major, net‑zero neighbourhood. The initiative is already generating thousands of jobs and apprenticeships, embedding climate-responsive design and enhancing access to green space and waterways. G&T’s approach fostered inclusive local supply chains and cost certainty, enabling Portsmouth City Council to balance social value, environmental performance and economic recovery in a pioneering regeneration model.
