Client

Hobart Real Assets Limited and PineBridge Benson Elliot

Location

London

Sectors

Size

229,000 sq ft

Challenge

The Mark, situated near the Tower of London and All Hallows Church, aimed to transform a prominent site into a flagship mixed-use development. The challenge was to create 215,000 sq ft of commercial workspace alongside 14,000 sq ft of cultural, hospitality, and retail space, all within a design that respects the historical context and meets ambitious sustainability targets. The project has been designed to achieve BREEAM "Outstanding", NABERS 5*, and WELL "Platinum" certifications, while also striving for best-in-class embodied carbon benchmarks.

Solution

G&T is providing Cost Management, Project Management and Employer's Agent services throughout the development. In collaboration with architects 3XN, G&T is currently overseeing the integration of sustainable design principles and innovative construction methods aimed at meeting the project’s environmental ambitions. The development will include a digitally immersive exhibition hall, intended to offer educational, heritage, and cultural space for the local community, general public, building occupants, and nearby businesses. G&T’s expertise continues to support the project’s progress towards its sustainability and community engagement objectives.

Outcome

Upon completion, The Mark is expected to serve as a benchmark for sustainable and community-focused development in London. The scheme aims to combine high-quality commercial spaces with cultural and public amenities to enhance the vibrancy and accessibility of the surrounding area. G&T is providing comprehensive management and consultancy services to help guide the project towards meeting its ambitious environmental targets and fostering meaningful community engagement.
