Location

London

Challenge

The Peninsula London represents a landmark addition to the city’s ultra-luxury hospitality scene, occupying a prominent site overlooking Hyde Park Corner. The development included a world-class hotel, private residences, retail spaces, and extensive public realm works, all within one of the capital’s most sensitive and logistically challenging locations. Delivering a scheme of this scale and complexity, with exacting design standards and stakeholder scrutiny, required careful planning, technical precision, and high-level coordination across all disciplines. Working within a constrained urban site with high-profile neighbours and preserving elements of the historical streetscape added further complexity to an already ambitious vision.

Solution

G&T supported the client through every stage of delivery—from pre-construction through to completion. We played a key role in managing the interface between multiple workstreams, including luxury fit-out, infrastructure upgrades, and intricate façade works, ensuring alignment across the wider development programme. Through close collaboration with design teams, contractors, and client stakeholders, we ensured that the project upheld the Peninsula brand’s global reputation for excellence. Our rigorous cost control and programme oversight enabled the delivery of a highly bespoke, premium-quality product, while also navigating complex planning, logistical and technical constraints.

Outcome

Combining architectural elegance with unparalleled attention to detail, the scheme delivers a seamless experience for guests, residents, and visitors alike. Public realm improvements—including the creation of a new public courtyard—enhance the site’s integration with the surrounding urban fabric. G&T’s leadership was instrumental in the successful realisation of this iconic development, ensuring delivery to the highest standards of quality, on budget and in line with the client’s vision. The project marks a significant addition to London’s built environment and a new flagship destination for The Peninsula Hotels group.
