TJX European Headquarters
Known as the Watford Campus, the new TJX European Headquarters comprises a new build BREEAM 'Excellent' commercial office building and two refurbished buildings. The new office building is connected to one of the refurbished buildings by an enclosed bridge at the upper levels while a second bridge to the other refurbished building is planned.
The client, as both developer and occupier, undertook an extensive consultation exercise within its business to inform the design and deliver a high quality and cohesive user experience across the three buildings. The new build commercial space delivers a double level basement and 12 storeys of office accommodation delivered to CAT B standard.
The campus provides open plan workspaces, dedicated meeting suites, collaboration booths, digitally-operated locker banks as well as new catering facilities and staff café, a dedicated staff gym and spin class studio as well as an auditorium and events space.
The contemporary form accommodates various external terraces as well as a significant external green wall.
