G&T has recently achieved Level 2 – Disability Confident Employer in the government’s Disability Confident Employer scheme that aims to help people with disabilities and those with long term health conditions achieve their aspirations and meet their potential.
The disability confident scheme consists of three levels and was set up by employers and disabled people representatives to support disabled employers and employees in the work environment. G&T has achieved the next level, moving from Disability Confident Committed to become a Disability Confident Employer.
Over the next 12 months G&T is committed to monitoring the following areas:
- Providing an inclusive and accessible environment
- Raising awareness on disabilities and long term health conditions through training and communication
- To support all employees who are disabled or have long term health conditions
