Championing Inclusive Leadership in Retirement Living
We were delighted to host the summer drinks reception for Women in Retirement Living (WiRL) this week – an inspiring evening that brought together industry professionals to share ideas, insights and connections.
The event featured a thought-provoking panel discussion on the theme ‘Future-Proofing the Sector – Innovation through Inclusive Leadership’. G&T Partner and Later Living Lead, Kerry Gibbs, joined a brilliant line-up of panellists including Anne-Marie Nicholson of amn architects, Katherine Rose of Elysian Residences and Phillipa Kella of Bupa Retirement Villages.
Together, they explored how inclusive leadership can drive innovation in retirement living, touching on a wide range of topics including:
- What inclusive leadership looks like in practice
- The evolving shape of the retirement living sector and the role diverse voices have played in that journey
- The adoption of technology and innovation across schemes
- Emerging models of later living and the influence of policy
- How women are helping to shape new approaches – from intergenerational housing to wellness-focused communities
- Ways to amplify female voices and lived experiences in policy-making and regulatory decisions
As new ideas and approaches continue to shape the future of retirement living, it’s clear that inclusive leadership – and the diversity of perspectives it brings – has a crucial role to play.
